And I'm spent

Back a couple of days ago from a week in Tokyo, half-bankrupted now but it was worth it! Highlights:

- successive all-nighters with Koichi in Yokohama
- lake filled with gigantic water-lilies in Ueno Park
- stunning screens and kimono on show in the National Museum
- stewed tendon (no, really) & being compared to David Beckham (no, really) at a streetside restaurant in Asakusa
- watching the fireworks over Sensou-ji temple on Saturday night
- Omar Sosa Afro-Electric quintet at Blue Note jazz club, Wednesday night
- catching up with a friend in a bizarrely accurate British pub in Ikebukuro
- meeting a bloke in Roppongi who went to Bickley Park school!
- Nanae's gorgeous apartment in Ebisu
- letting the time drift by in Inokashira Park, Kichijouji

And a lot else besides. Financially I'm going to spend the next 3 months recovering but, as the camera ads have it, the memories will last a lot longer... Will post more about it soon, bye for now. Photos are on Facebook if anyone wants to have a look
